HGV2 Refuse Driver – Stevenage
Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable HGV 2 Refuse Driver in Stevenage to support local waste and recycling collections; in this role, you will operate refuse vehicles safely, work closely with loaders and help keep communities clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
1. Drive HGV Class 2 refuse vehicles safely along allocated collection routes; therefore, collections run on schedule
2. Collect and transport waste and recycling materials from residential and commercial properties
3. Work closely with loaders so collections remain efficient and safe
4. Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift to maintain roadworthiness
5. Record daily collections and mileage accurately
6. Follow all health and safety procedures to protect colleagues and the public
7. Deliver professional and courteous service when interacting with residents
Essential Skills & Experience
8. Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
9. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
10. Previous refuse or multi-drop driving experience preferred
11. Strong awareness of road safety and operational procedures
12. Reliable and punctual approach to work
13. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
