SEN Teaching Assistant As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work in close partnership with the class teacher to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in helping children access learning, build confidence, and develop socially and emotionally within a supportive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN Assist with learning activities, adapting tasks to meet individual needs Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation Contribute to the delivery of targeted interventions Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals Ensure safeguarding and inclusion are upheld at all times Requirements Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management techniques Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or willingness to apply Ability to provide two recent, child-related professional references covering the last two years If you are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs, we would be pleased to hear from you.
