Lecturer in Beauty Therapy Location: Worksop Salary: Up to £32,199 (£9,572.68 Pro-rata) per annum (Depending on qualifications and experience) Hours: Part time (11hrs per week, all year round) The Role Within the Group, Beauty Therapy skills are in high demand and in this role, you can influence and contribute towards the College's provision in this key area. You will have the opportunity not only to impart your knowledge and expertise to their learners but ultimately will make an impact on the wider community. In this role you will be delivering beauty therapy level 1 to level 4 and deliver on evening courses as well as some weekend work and involvement in competition work. You will also deliver on school links. You will be responsible for your delivery, planning and marking, and be prepared to internal quality check across all levels of beauty therapy. You must also be prepared to take part in development where needed. The role of lecturer is to equip their students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential. Skills and Qualifications You will play an important role in developing creative resources to inspire outstanding learning and will be responsible for the monitoring and tracking of learner progress to promote positive outcomes for learners. You should be an effective and motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives. You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake) and either have, or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification. Ideally, you will have a degree qualification in a related subject. You must be qualified in nail technology. Department Info As a member of the Beauty Therapy delivery team, you will play an important role in developing and creating resources, as well as tracking and monitoring students, to promote positive outcomes and achieve the key priorities for the College. Your line manager will be the Curriculum Manager. You will regularly report on your objectives to update your line manager regarding a range of KPIs including (but not limited to) student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality. You will be part of a Curriculum and Department team and will work with other teaching staff to develop and share good practice in the area. You may also be required to participate in cross college teams or working groups on key projects.
