Ready to make your first move out of practice? a leading international firm in intellectual property – is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. This is the ideal next step for a newly qualified accountant from a Big 4 or top-tier firm seeking a challenging and rewarding in-house role with real breadth and progression opportunities.
As a Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key part in the statutory reporting and financial control of a global business with a strong reputation for excellence. Reporting into a senior finance leader, you’ll gain exposure to international entities, technical accounting, and commercial finance, all within a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of statutory accounts for UK and overseas entities in line with IFRS/FRS 102
* Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors
* Maintain robust financial controls and assist in implementing process improvements
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal policies
* Assist with tax and regulatory compliance across various jurisdictions
* Partner with wider finance and business teams to deliver insight and support decision-making
What We’re Looking For:
* ACA qualified (or equivalent), ideally trained within a Big 4 firm
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
* Excellent attention to detail, with a passion for accuracy and continuous improvement
* Effective communicator who can collaborate across departments and geographies
* Commercially aware with a willingness to get involved beyond traditional reporting
