About the role: To provide an efficient and safe operation of processing equipment, whilst checking quality attribute and specification along with complying with Company Food Safety, Health & Safety, Quality and Hygiene requirements i.e., factory dress code and hand washing procedure. Key responsibilities: Check the oven settings and recipe sheets before starting. Make sure the correct program is entered into the bulk feed system Refill ingredient hoppers when needed and prepare any pre-mix batches Before downloading the recipe, check that all safety guards are in place and hoppers are ready Check conveyor belts and tracking, fix any issues and report faults. Ensure all safety guards are properly fitted. Set up and run the rotary moulder and oven, adjust as needed to meet quality standards and report problems. Set up and run the cream mixing and creaming machines, handle ingredients properly, adjust as needed, and report issues. Set up and run the chocolate enrober and cooler, adjust to maintain quality and report faults. Keep the chocolate supply running smoothly to meet production needs. Regularly check the product to make sure it meets quality standards. Check and record colour standards to ensure they are correct. Keep your work area and equipment always clean and tidy. Key Ingredients for suitable candidates include: Essential Requirements: English Communication Skills - Ability to speak, read, and understand English to follow instructions, adhere to safety procedures, and communicate effectively with team members. Basic Numeracy - Capable of performing simple calculations to support operational tasks Attention to Detail - Skilled in monitoring processes, identifying inconsistencies, and accurately completing documentation, including recording checks and line operations Hygiene Awareness - Committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment Machine Operation - Experience operating machinery and a basic understanding of mechanical processes is beneficial, though full training will be provided. Desirable but Not Essential: Quality Focus - Dedicated to maintaining high standards throughout production to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations. Time Management - Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Problem-Solving Skills - Quick thinking and resourcefulness to resolve operational challenges.
