You will work closely with the Project Managers as well as other members of the Senior Leadership Team to promote, implement and oversee the SHEQ requirements and responsibilities of the Company. Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance across our operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our procedures align with current UK legislation and industry best practices, including relevant ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001). Gain accreditation for ISO:14001. This is a national role, requiring regular site visits and collaboration with cross-functional teams to foster a strong culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: * Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to prioritise SHEQ requirements across all project sites and ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards and UK regulations. * Risk Assessments: Develop and implement comprehensive risk assessments for our manufacturing facility and all project sites, in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. * Site Inspections & Audits: Carry out routine SHEQ inspections and audits, identify non-conformances, and implement corrective actions aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001. * Incident & Accident Investigation: Lead investigations into incidents and near misses, document findings, and implement preventative measures in accordance with ISO 45001. * Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company-wide compliance with all applicable UK legislation (e.g., Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act 1990), ISO standards, and company policies. * Training & Development: Deliver SHEQ training programmes to employees and contractors, promoting awareness and embedding a safety-first culture. * Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and manage SHEQ records, documentation, and reports in line with internal and external audit requirements, ensuring readiness for client and regulatory inspections. * Promoting SHEQ Culture: Champion a culture of safety, sustainability, and quality throughout the organisation, encouraging proactive engagement and reporting. * Pre-Qualification & Tender Support: Support completion of customer pre-qualification questionnaires and other documentation for tenders. Qualifications & Experience Essential: * NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent recognised Level 6 qualification in Health and Safety) * Proven experience in a similar SHEQ leadership role within the engineering, construction, or manufacturing sectors * In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, including COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, and CDM Regulations * Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 * Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide Desirable: * Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or other relevant professional body (e.g. IIRSM) * Experience managing SHEQ functions on multi-site operations * Understanding of BS EN 1090, UKCA Marking, and CE Marking compliance in practical application * Familiarity with mechanical handling systems and equipment Please submit your CV and we will be in touch
