Job Summary: Company: Academy Music Group Location: Remote working with travel to venues around the UK Reports to: Head of Crowd Safety and Security Working Hours: Full time Job Type: Permanent Role Description The Crowd Safety and Security Manager provides operational, administrative, and analytical support to the Head of Crowd Safety and Security across all AMG venues, helping to implement security management plans, monitor standards, and support incident and training processes. The role supports the effective delivery of crowd safety and security activity at all AMG venues, ensuring that venue teams, third party security providers and stakeholders are equipped with the information, tools, and coordination needed to maintain a safe environment for patrons, staff and performers. Working closely with the Head of Security and Crowd Safety, the post holder helps turn policies and strategic plans into practical documentation, checks, and follow up actions. Who you are Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience Experience in crowd management, event security, or venue operations, ideally within the music or entertainment industry. Working knowledge of crowd behaviour, risk assessment principles, and relevant safety regulations, with a willingness to progress formal qualifications. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks such as documentation, tracking actions, and coordinating information across venues. Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with venue management, security contractors, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software applications for incident reporting, scheduling, and internal communication. Ability to remain calm and methodical when supporting incident responses, debriefs, or high-pressure situations. What the role includes Assist in the development, distribution, and version control of security management plans, crowd safety plans, SOPs, and event documentation across all venues, ensuring documents reflect current standards and guidance. Support the Head of Crowd Safety and Security in coordinating venue risk assessments, collating information, tracking actions, and maintaining central records. Help monitor crowd safety and security performance by gathering incident reports, compiling data, and preparing summary reports and dashboards for review. Coordinate and log training activity, including maintaining training matrices, tracking completion of mandatory modules, and supporting the organisation of tabletop exercises and briefings. Assist with venue visits and audits, documenting findings on barriers, exits, emergency lighting and other safety equipment, and tracking remedial actions to completion. Support communication between venues and third-party security providers, helping to share briefings, standards, and feedback in a timely and consistent manner. Contribute to the monitoring of industry trends, best practice and regulatory updates by gathering information and supporting the integration of changes into policies and procedures. Provide admin support around incident management, including collating statements, maintaining logs, and assisting with debrief documentation and action tracking. Promote a culture of security awareness by helping to prepare staff communications, briefing materials and simple guidance for venue teams.
