Team Leader – Off-Loading Operations
Location: Portsmouth
Self-Employed Role
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to manage off-loading operations on construction sites in the Portsmouth area. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who works well in fast-paced site environments and can lead teams while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Pay & Benefits
£130 per day
5 days per week
0.25p per mile after the first 30 miles
Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily off-loading activities
Supervise teams unloading kitchens, appliances, and materials
Liaise with site teams and drivers to ensure smooth operations
Conduct site checks to maintain safety and compliance standards
Resolve on-site issues efficiently
Monitor attendance and performance
Deliver toolbox talks and support training of new team members
Ensure all jobs are completed with photographic evidence
Requirements
Previous experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role (construction preferred)
Strong organisational and people management skills
CSCS card (essential)
Own car and willingness to travel
Reliable, safety-focused, and proactive
