Solis have partnered with a fast-growing sports retailer looking for a dedicated Senior Social Media Specialist to join their team. This is a leadership role for someone hands-on, with a builder mentality, who can be a team of one and look to scale this area and eventually build a team.

The Role
As the Senior Social Media Specialist you will be a hands-on, working across the whole social media process from ideation, creation, delivery, analysis and strategy. Its a 360 Social Media role.
Youll be expected to travel to sports events, identifying opportunities to capture engaging content, run giveaways or promotions, and entice fans and audiences. This isnt about being pitch-side. Its about recognising the energy and atmosphere surrounding key moments and capitalising on them. Whether its a long-awaited Tyne-side derby or a major tennis final, youll know what resonates and how to deliver it.
It will suit a true sports fanatic, who loves being at events, very much keeping up to date with social trends and knowing how to leverage them to further enhance the brand.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
Create, edit, and publish high-impact video and visual content across mainly across TikTok and Instagram. Other platforms you may explore include Meta, LI, and YouTube.
Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar aligned with key sporting events and brand objectives.
React to live sporting moments with timely, relevant posts that spark conversation.
Attend sports events across the UK, identifying opportunities to create engaging content, run giveaways or promotions, and entice fans and audiences.
Analyse performance data to optimise content and drive engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and maximise reach.
Contribute to broader brand strategy with fresh, innovative ideas.
Own the full social media cycle including ideation, creation, execution, posting, and analysis.
About you
To be successful in your application for the Social Media role, will have 7+ years experience in Social Media, delivering high quality campaigns for brands including within the sports sector.
You will be comfortable getting behind the camera, editing content and creating a polished finish.
This role needs someone who can the long term value in a high-growth role, wants to play a pivotal role in catapulting the business in to a global brand!
You will have/be:
A proven high performer with significant social media experience, and proven experience in growing audiences, increasing engagement and elevating social media strategy.
A sports fanatic with interests across football, rugby, golf, tennis, and cricket.
Skilled in shooting and editing video content aligned with platform best practices.
Comfortable working evenings and weekends when required.
Highly organised, proactive, and results driven.
A collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Fully committed. This role excludes working with other clients.
Ambitious and hungry to grow. Youll report directly to the CEO with clear progression opportunities.
Deeply familiar with TikTok and Instagram trends and audience behaviours.
We will require a portfolio of work, showcasing past successes and your creative flair.
