Overview
Medway Council is seeking a proactive Panel Inclusion Officer to support our Education & SEND team. This is a short-term opportunity to play a key role in ensuring fair access, supporting schools and families, and contributing to the smooth running of panels and processes.
Responsibilities
* Assist in administering Fair Access Panels, Exclusion Panels, and Attendance Pre-Court Panels.
* Liaise with schools and families on admissions matters and respond to enquiries within agreed timescales.
* Support the recording and issuing of Penalty Notices, working alongside the Penalty Notice & Child Employment Coordinator.
* Collate documentation for legal processes relating to exclusion, suspension, and attendance.
* Process, maintain, and monitor departmental data and records, identifying anomalies and escalating as required.
* Ensure data accuracy and compliance with departmental policies, producing statistics to support effective management.
* Provide additional administration support to the wider Inclusion Team as required.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in education administration, preferably in inclusion or SEND.
* Strong communication skills with schools, families, and colleagues.
* Ability to manage data and record-keeping with high accuracy.
* Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
Contract details
Location: Medway Council
Rate: £200 per day (via umbrella)
Contract: Initially 3 months
Working arrangement: 3 days per week in the office
