What you’ll do
* Helping customers overcome barriers and help them lead a fulfilling and meaningful life and reach their true potential.
* Recognising their strengths and abilities and help them take the small steps at their pace, never losing sight of their dreams and aspirations.
* Supporting customers using Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion through person‑centred support.
* Monitoring customers’ mental and physical health to identify any signs of deterioration and take positive risk management for their health and wellbeing.
* Help coordinate activities and experiences meaningful to them.
* Support customers with more complex needs which may include personal care support.
You have
* Experience in a Complex Care setting, with a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or are prepared to work towards it.
* A real people person, confident to work in different services or locations or teams and get on with colleagues.
* Worked as a Support Worker, supporting people with complex needs, or behaviours of distress.
* A patient and calm approach, able to adapt your style to the customer's needs, as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances, even when they challenge us.
* Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.
* Flexible working hours, you’ll be able to pick and choose your shifts that you can work from those available in your area.
* Ability to use technology for creating and updating support plans, doing mandatory learning and keeping in touch with colleagues.
* Enhanced DBS check (we will pay for it).
* Work across the Birmingham region.
