With a strong social purpose and a commitment to helping people live independently, this organisation manages thousands of homes and delivers services that support older and vulnerable residents to thrive in their communities.
Your new roleAs an Independent Living Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering intensive housing management services across sheltered housing schemes in Bath. Key responsibilities:- Build strong relationships with residents and support them in maintaining their independence.- Assist with tenancy management and help new residents settle into their homes.- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure health and safety compliance.- Support residents in accessing benefits, financial advice, and assistive technologies.- Monitor the quality of services provided by contractors (e.g., grounds maintenance, window cleaning).- Respond to emergencies and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless service.This role is an ongoing temporary position for at least 6 months. What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you'll bring experience working with older or vulnerable individuals, along with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately, adapting your approach to meet a variety of needs. You'll also need strong administrative skills, a collaborative attitude, and a genuine commitment to delivering inclusive, person-centred support. You will require:- Background in supporting elderly or vulnerable people, ideally within housing or advisory services.- Confident in handling administrative and numerical tasks, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.- A strong commitment to equality, diversity, and delivering exceptional customer service.- Knowledge of Housing Benefit processes.- Experience supporting individuals through bereavement.- Familiarity with housing management and support services.What you'll get in returnIn return, you'll benefit from a rewarding role within a purpose-driven organisation that values its people and the communities it serves.
