Our client is a growing SME business who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their small but busy finance team on a full time basis. This position would suit an experienced Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper who is AAT qualified or someone who is qualified by experience, and someone with strong organisational and numeracy skills.

Accounts Assistant - About the Role
As an Accounts Assistant you will be involved in the preparation of accounting and administrative functions for the organisation and support the Management Accountant with a wide range of accounting processes and procedures. Key responsibilities:
* Process payments, inter-company invoices, and input data into accounting software.
* Provide proactive support in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Treasury management, ensuring company cash transfer commitments are met on time.
* Maintain regular communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure financials are accurate and timely.
* End of month control of financial tasks
* Quarterly VAT group calculations and submission to HMRC, management of VAT structure and coding.
* Intercompany payments and reconciliation
* Ad-hoc query resolution and act as a backup for the senior bookkeeper role.
Accounts Assistant key skills and qualifications:
* AAT qualified (or QBE)
* Double entry experience
* Strong Excel skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
