Contract Electrical / Machine Build Technician

Our client, a well-established Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) manufacturer, is looking to engage an experienced Electrical / Machine Build Technician on a contract basis to support ongoing and upcoming machine build projects.
This role is ideal for contractors with strong experience in machine wiring, control panel build, and electro-mechanical assembly within a machinery manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities:
* Electrical and mechanical assembly of machines and sub-assemblies
* Build and wire electrical control panels to schematics and circuit diagrams
* Machine wiring in line with electrical drawings, BOMs, and parts lists
* Fit electrical components to machines from engineering drawings
* Support full machine builds, including panel build, machine build, and final integration
* Power up, test, and fault-find equipment and machinery
* Liaise with Design Engineers and Assembly Fitters to resolve build or design issues
* Modify and adapt assemblies as required during the build process
* Complete all build and quality documentation
* Identify quality issues and follow company procedures for resolution
* Maintain housekeeping, health & safety, and 5S standards
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven electrical assembly experience within machine build, SPM, or automation
* Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings
* Experience with control panel wiring and machine wiring
* 18th Edition or equivalent electrical qualification
* Experience assembling large fabricated and mechanical components
* High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
* Good verbal and written communication skills
