To build electrical assemblies according to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
To inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
To upgrade and repair mechanical and electrical assemblies.
To maintain equipment used in electronic assembly.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical assembly work to drawing and/or CMMs.
2. Electro/mechanical work, including fans, motors, and heaters, to drawing and/or CMMs.
3. Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers.
4. Assemble and test electronic components and systems according to specifications, ensuring they meet quality standards and function properly.
5. Conduct tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot issues.
6. Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures.
7. Complete all relevant documentation.
8. Assist and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and visitors, providing information and support as needed.
9. Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities to enhance quality and output.
10. Use PPE when provided, as required.
11. Complete activities promptly to meet manufacturing targets.
12. Perform ad hoc duties, including training colleagues and supporting other departments as needed.
Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions:
1. Undertake training as required by the role.
2. Support the business by undertaking reasonable requests from management or directors.
3. Provide flexible support during reduced staffing periods to ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Understand and apply the Business Management System to the role.
5. Adhere to Health and Safety requirements at all times.
6. Report any issues that could affect the business.
7. Follow company policies and procedures, including the Business Management System.
Able to read and understand drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
Able to work from SOPs in tandem with drawings.
Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
Experience in electronic assembly and familiarity with electronic components.
Attention to detail and knowledge of electronic assembly tooling.
Soldering skills on small components and experience assembling small components like model kits.
Ability to work in a team, methodical and logical approach, good time management.
Effective communication skills at all levels, self-motivated, professional, handles pressure well.
Basic IT skills.
