The main responsibilities of this job role will include:
* Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
* Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
* Providing a range of activities that ensure children learn while having fun.
* Being a team player.
* Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children.
* Taking part in First Aid training as required.
* Ensuring equal opportunity in delivery, access, and attitude in service delivery.
* Collaborating with teams across the nursery setting.
* Supporting children’s learning and development.
* Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for children.
* Preparing food for breakfast, snacks, and afternoon tea.
* Supporting children’s self-help needs.
* Being creative and enthusiastic.
* Following safeguarding rules and regulations to meet the standards of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
Level 3 Early Years Educator:
Your apprenticeship will last for 14 months. You will be supported by Lead Support Coaches and a nursery mentor. You will work full-time in the nursery, with classroom days conducted online as remote sessions. Your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery near you.
To be eligible, you must have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4 or above, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2, and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
Expected career progression includes developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with potential for a full-time position upon successful completion. Other prospects include:
* Further development within the current nursery setting
* Room leader positions and management roles
* Springboard into primary education
* Paediatric nursing
