Live-in Housekeeper Opportunity | Farnham, Surrey – Full Time
This role is ideally suited to an individual seeking long-term stability and the opportunity to manage a beautifully run family residence. The household consists of two main occupiers and their university-age children, offering a professional yet welcoming environment. As the children are now young adults, there are no childcare or nanny duties required for this position.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and proactive professional who takes immense pride in maintaining a home to the highest standards. You must possess a discreet, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently without micro-management. A genuine love for dogs is essential, as pet care and occasional sitting form an integral part of this role.
The Role
1. Housekeeping: All aspects of hands-on daily cleaning and maintenance to an exceptional standard, including regular deep cleaning schedules.
2. Laundry & Wardrobe: Expert care of clothing and linens, including washing, steaming, ironing, and seasonal wardrobe transitions.
3. Property Management: Overseeing household systems, tracking supplies, and liaising with external contractors and tradespeople to ensure the smooth running of the home.
4. Secondary Property: Performing a regular monthly clean of the family’s second residence located in London.
5. Catering & Support: Assisting with grocery shopping, meal planning, and occasional simple cooking or table service when the family is hosting.
6. Pet Care: Daily dog walking, feeding, and providing dedicated pet sitting for short periods when required.
7. Errands: Managing local logistics such as dry cleaning runs, pharmacy collections, and handling inbound deliveries.
Hours: Full-time (approximately 3.5 days per week) with flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend tasks such as hosting support.
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 Gross Per Annum, depending on experience.
Start Date: Flexible for the right candidate.
Accommodation: A modern, fully furnished self-contained apartment separate from the main property, with all utilities included.
Requirement: You must possess a clean driving licence and your own car. Previous private household experience in a live-in capacity is essential.
