Job Description
This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role. As a Lead - Account Manager at Freshworks, you’ll be responsible for driving sales into existing defined accounts in the UK and Ireland region. Your accounts will have strategic importance to the growth of the region. You will collaborate with teams across Freshworks to manage all aspects of the sales process, including business development, lead management, qualification, evaluation, and closing. You will advocate multiple Freshworks product lines and, as a brand ambassador, champion our innovative SaaS products to enhance organizational productivity, efficiency, and customer focus.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
1. Define and execute account plans with your manager, aiming to exceed sales goals through stakeholder mapping, prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities.
2. Develop and manage your sales pipeline, assessing and progressing multiple activities simultaneously.
3. Grow, manage, and track customer contact and install base within your accounts.
4. Become intimately knowledgeable about your accounts’ key business challenges to act as a strategic partner.
5. Partner with Customer Success Managers within your ‘Pod’ structure, focusing on retention and growth, leveraging insights and product adoption knowledge.
6. Use resources effectively, including MRE, SDR, Pre-Sales, Support, Project Managers, and Product Marketing Managers, to meet sales targets.
7. Provide regular pipeline and forecasting reports.
8. Stay informed about competition, competitive issues, and products.
9. Participate in team-building and company growth activities, including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts, and customer care.
10. Travel to customer locations as required to support sales efforts.
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a high-velocity software sales environment. Domain knowledge in SaaS, CSM, CRM, or ITSM is advantageous.
2. A strong desire to bring new teams into the Freshworks ecosystem to maximize revenue.
3. Consistent overachievement of sales goals in large geographic territories selling technical products.
4. Highly driven, with a focus on execution, urgency, and alignment with Freshworks’ mission. Able to go beyond relationship management.
5. Customer-oriented with excellent communication, learning eagerness, and consultancy skills to support customers effectively.
6. Self-directed, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile.
7. Fluency in English is required.
