About the Role As an Electrical Vehicle (EV) Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting new product development, vehicle testing, and technical issue resolution. You will be responsible for maintaining the CAUK vehicle fleet, providing training for dealership technicians, and assisting dealerships with troubleshooting and problem-solving. This experience may come from working at a vehicle test site, an automotive manufacturer, or a vehicle service centre
Must be qualified to work on electrical systems, with certification obtained through dealer service training, an independent training provider, or an accredited course
IMI Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing, and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Components, or an equivalent qualification
Full, valid driving licence
Vehicle instrumentation for testing, development, and diagnostics
Collecting test data and conducting initial analysis and interpretation of results
Leading testing activities and collaborating closely with project teams
Ownership of test data output and reporting findings
Contributing to advanced testing projects, including vehicle development initiatives
Adhering to safe working practices, including compliance with Electrical Permit to Work systems
Act as a Changan vehicle model dealership technician trainer, becoming a model expert through in-house training. Travel to Changan China may be required for training and knowledge transfer. Deliver training workshops at Changan UK to support dealership technicians
