Their size and reach allow them to offer a range of rewarding careers in a supportive and inclusive environment.Job DescriptionLead and oversee payroll operations for a multi-site, 24/7 workforceDrive payroll transformation, system improvements, and process efficienciesEnsure full compliance with UK payroll legislation, HMRC, and pension schemesDevelop and implement a unified, strategic reward and benefits approachOversee pay benchmarking, gender pay gap reporting, and statutory submissionsSupport and coach a payroll team of five; build capability and performanceCollaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to align pay/reward initiativesTake hands-on ownership of reward processes; later delegate to a future analystLead benefit reviews, supplier engagement, and innovation in total rewardsThe Successful ApplicantA Proven experience managing payroll in a large, multi-site organisationStrong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC regulations, and pension schemesTrack record of transforming payroll processes and leading system improvementsExperience leading and developing payroll teams; confident people managerFamiliarity with iTrent or similar complex systemsHands-on experience with benefits and reward benchmarkingStrong data skills for reporting (e.g. Gender Pay Gap, pay analysis)Excellent stakeholder management across HR, Finance, and OperationsOrganised, assertive, and approachable - able to drive change while building trustIdeally CIPP or CIPD qualified, or equivalent experience in payroll/reward/HRWhat's on OfferHybrid working (2-3 days in Leatherhead office)Access to Wagestream, wellbeing support, discount schemes & moreFuture team growth and internal promotion pathwaysA purposeful, people-first culture in a growing organisation
