We’re looking for a Senior Buyer – Capital Projects based at our Capenhurst Site, responsible for the delivery of capital project procurement activities for the Urenco Group, developing project‑specific procurement strategies and executing strategic sourcing to meet business partner requirements, maximizing value for Urenco.
What You’ll Do
* Develop and deliver bespoke project procurement strategies that meet project objectives, maximizing leverage opportunities with existing Urenco relationships, especially core process technology suppliers.
* Select contracting methodologies and suppliers, executing contracts to deliver the objectives of major/complex capital investment projects.
* Provide project management of the end‑to‑end strategic sourcing process and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
* Set negotiation strategies and undertake commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers.
* Liaise with stakeholders and legal to ensure favourable commercial terms that mitigate business risk and achieve best business results.
* Develop and maintain a real‑time view of the supply market and foster improved relationships between Urenco and key suppliers.
* Actively contribute to the ongoing development of functional capabilities to ensure value delivery is sustainable in the long term and functional effectiveness and efficiency are continually improved.
* Ensure accuracy of data and documentation recorded in key systems to enable compliance, adherence to policies and efficient P2P processing.
