Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering structured activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions. You will build one-to-one rapports with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery.
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.
This role is available as a full time position at 37.5 hours per week, with a part time option of 22.5 hours per week. Shift patterns include weekend work.
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant you will be:
1. To assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.
2. Support service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
3. To maintain adequate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.
4. Supporting with patient walks of the unit
To be successful in this role, you will have:
5. GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
6. Experience in a similar environment & Mental Health
7. Verbal and written communication skills
Where you will be working:
Brighton & Hove Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder; or an eating difficulty with a co-morbid presentation for example mental health or psychological issues, such as depression, OCD or anxiety or self-harm.
