Supply Hive is supporting a welcoming primary school in Slough that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fixed-term position running until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be passionate about early learning, committed to high standards, and able to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners. Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports pupil progress Use effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning attitudes. Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress accurately and regularly. Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers. Contribute to school life, staff meetings, and professional development activities. Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times. Requirements: ✅Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ✅Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1 ✅Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics ✅Excellent classroom management and organisational skills ✅Right to work in the UK ✅Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
