SENIOR MANAGER: CAPITAL PROCUREMENT You will be providing SME support as a business partner ensuring all procurement follows best practice commercial principles thereby ensuring that Capex spend is optimised. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Drive the identification, development, implementation, monitoring, review & refinement of integrated, cross-project capital procurement strategies to deliver cost, time, quality & risk mitigation benefits across Copper Africa's portfolio of capital projects. Actively contribute to the identification, development, implementation, monitoring, review & refinement of continuous improvement initiatives to support the on-budget & on-time delivery of capital projects. Take the lead in facilitating capital projects procurement -needs definition, -execution options, -demand forecasting, -supply market analysis & procurement risk analysis, across the Copper Africa projects portfolio and pipeline. Develop and manage the deployment of capital projects procurement (CPP) standards and guidelines, including defining & executing CPP continuous improvement initiatives across process, people & systems. Championing the design and deployment of Coupa within the Capital Projects environment (SME functionality). Monitor, track, and report on capital projects procurement (CPP) performance, including the establishment of internal service level agreements (SLAs) between Copper Africa supply chain and capital projects. Supervise direct reports to ensure performance outputs & standards and take corrective action as necessary. Conduct performance appraisals to identify strengths & development areas and takes appropriate action to elevate performance levels. Support subordinates in required learning & growth objectives and manage training & development interventions with the team. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Business administration, BSc in Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 10 to 15 years relevant experience in sourcing, contracts management and procurement, with a focus on capital projects and or technical buying or similar activities. Demonstrated experience in end-to-end capital projects life cycle within mining, O&G or similiar heavy industry. Experience in negotiating multimillion dollar framework agreements and contracts. Relevant experience in ERP's (e.g., SAP) including sourcing and contracts management systems (E.g., Coupa and Ariba). A proven track record in a similar role, including experience in strategic sourcing & category management, and capital projects procurement & contracts management. Experience in deploying and managing NEC and/or FIDIC contracts and or similar. Experience in including and deploying SHEQ standards in projects. Experience in oversight and quality control of procurement documentation, including RFQs and purchase orders. Knowledge of Supplier Diversity considerations and integration into procurement processes. Ability to travel to Africa to engage with regional and site stakeholders.
