Step into a leadership role and help shape the future of our services We are pleased to offer an internal opportunity for a motivated and experienced colleague to step into the role of SPA and Business Support Team Lead. This role plays a vital part in the day-to-day operational management of the SPA and Business Support teams within a defined locality, supporting both service delivery and team development. As Team Lead, you will provide line management to the Senior Community Health Navigators, overseeing workload allocation, performance management, absence management, regular one‑to‑ones, appraisals and training. You will be instrumental in supporting your team to deliver high‑quality services and continuously improve ways of working. This is a fast‑paced and rewarding role that requires strong organisational and communication skills, along with a proactive and collaborative approach as part of a wider team. You will have regular contact with clients and a range of internal and external stakeholders, so confidence, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships are essential. What You'll Be Doing: Lead the day‑to‑day operational management of the SPA and Business Support teams within the locality Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with clinical priorities, performance targets and customer service standards Monitor resources, telephony activity, referrals and appointment scheduling, escalating risks as required Work closely with the Deputy Service Manager to identify service gaps, manage budgets, support performance reporting and respond to operational incidents Provide direct line management to Senior Health Navigators, including recruitment, induction, workload allocation, performance and absence management, and staff development Develop, review and maintain effective administrative processes, acting as a local subject matter expert Support audits and ensure learning from incidents, Datix investigations and service user feedback is embedded into practice Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and empathy Chair locality SPA meetings and ensure clear communication and information cascades across teams Work flexibly and provide cover for colleagues as required to maintain service continuity and priorities Please see job description attached for full details of the role.
