Temp to Perm | £13.75 – £15.00 per hour | Nursery linked to mainstream primary Level 3 EYFS qualification desirable but not essential
A vibrant primary school in Southport is recruiting an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support their nursery provision on a temp‑to‑perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a school that places great emphasis on early childhood development and creating a warm, engaging environment for all learners.
You will work closely with the nursery teacher to deliver high‑quality learning opportunities, support children’s early communication and social skills and help maintain a safe, stimulating classroom. The role involves assisting with structured activities, supporting free‑flow play, preparing resources and contributing to observations that inform children’s next steps.
The school is looking for someone who is caring, reliable and confident working with young children. A Level 3 EYFS qualification is desirable, but candidates with relevant experience and a strong passion for early years are encouraged to apply.
Main Duties
* Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
* Encouraging children’s independence and confidence through play
* Assisting with early literacy, numeracy and communication activities
* Helping to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment
* Supporting children with personal care routines
* Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
