BANK - Patient Environmental Action Team (PEAT) Member
Band 2 AFC - Bank
The post holder will be able to work individually and as part of a team to perform deep cleans across wards and departments in the trust. You will be part of a reactive service that contributes to maintaining a hygienic and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are met.
Main duties of the job
* To perform deep clean duties in all parts of the Trust as required.
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt maintains a register of Temporary Workers "The Bank". Joining the Trust's Bank does not constitute a contract of employment. The Trust will notify bank members when a suitable assignment arises, and members can choose whether to accept it. The bank worker is under no obligation to accept an offer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform deep clean duties across the Trust as required.
* Carry the emergency pager and respond independently when activated.
* Cover sickness and holidays of staff, attending site at weekends and nights as needed.
* Regularly clean air conditioning vents and grills.
* Work independently on minor works.
* Prioritize work on essential patient equipment, impacting patient experience (e.g., toilets, wash facilities).
* Communicate effectively with staff and clients at all levels.
* Prioritize changing workloads and proactively address work requests with supervisors.
* Understand and comment on maintenance policies.
* Maintain and repair health service property and equipment.
* Assist other trades as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications/Training
* English and Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent (Essential)
Experience
* Experience working in a hospital environment (Essential)
Skills and Competencies
* Ability to work independently once competent.
* Ability to work at height using ladders/scaffolds.
* Assist all trades.
* Adaptable to change.
* Good communication skills.
* Problem-solving skills and flexibility.
* Follow health and safety practices.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of Health & Safety, TMV & HWS, Estates legislation, Fire and Asbestos regulations, COSHH.
