Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
We are offering two permanent, part-time posts of 18.5 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday. The salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
We are excited to announce two part-time Audio Typist positions (18.5 hours per week) within the General Surgery department at the Vale of Leven Hospital.
About the Role: As an Audio Typist, you will support the department by accurately transcribing medical dictations and providing administrative support, contributing to the smooth operation of our busy General Surgery unit.
Key Requirements:
* Qualifications: Two standard grades, including English, are essential. A medical secretarial qualification is desirable.
* Experience: Previous experience as an audio typist or secretarial role, ideally in healthcare. Familiarity with TrakCare is an advantage.
* Skills: Strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, high attention to detail, and fast typing skills.
* Personal Attributes: Reliable, flexible, and committed to good attendance.
