CAD Technician
Centara Ltd, a surveying business working for a variety of prestigious clients throughout the UK.
Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
* Provide CAD support to the Geospatial team, highly proficient in CAD‑based software to aid with the production of detailed dimensional plans, elevations, sections & survey drawings for Topographical & Terrain Surveys, Measured Buildings, Underground Utilities, Earthworks & Volumetric Survey Analysis, Photogrammetry & Drone Data, and Point Cloud Data from Laser Scanning / Aerial Mapping.
* Provide drafted survey data and accurately produce survey drawings to present to clients or designers.
* Ensure drawings comply with company policies & Gridmark QA procedures.
* Liaise with other CAD/survey/design team members.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of the civil engineering & construction industry.
* Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new surveying software.
* Produce or amend drawings accurately and efficiently according to the specification brief.
* Support continuous improvement.
* Ensure drawings are clear, consistent and accurate.
* Adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards and processes by ensuring all drawings are saved in correct locations, correctly numbered and procedures followed.
Qualifications and Experience
* 1–2 years’ experience ideally.
* Industry background: Geospatial / Land / Civil / Architectural / Highways.
* Drawing experience of Geospatial / Land / Civil / Architectural / Highways.
* Experience with drainage / water system designs / MEP AutoCAD & N4CE (essential), Civil 3D & Revit.
* Experience of applying CAD Standards / Quality Standards.
