As a Barclays Stress Testing Senior Manager, you will be involved with leading a range of tasks primarily focused on Stress Testing, including scenario and sensitivity analysis. Your role will support the team’s wider deliverables, including transformation programmes and other Barclays Europe (BE) initiatives. You will provide accurate and insightful input to assist decision-making and support BE in delivering its financial commitments and regulatory engagements.
Key Accountabilities:
* Lead delivery of key stress testing exercises for BE and Group stakeholders, including EBA, ECB, and internal stress tests.
* Ensure a strong control environment and drive continuous improvements in processes and reporting.
* Identify, escalate, and resolve control or delivery issues across BE and Group teams.
* Act as subject matter expert on macroeconomic, climate, and nature-related risks in stress testing.
* Contribute to scenario modelling, financial analysis, and presentation of BE’s performance.
* Produce ad hoc management information and sensitivity analyses to support business needs.
* Support projects within the wider Stress Testing programme, including transformation initiatives.
* Maintain and operate robust systems and datasets aligned with control standards.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience in stress testing or financial planning with a solid understanding of Finance and Investment Banking is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to manage workload effectively. Confidence in analysing P&L and balance sheet data and communicating complex issues clearly to senior stakeholders is important. A professional accountancy qualification such as ACA, CIMA, or ACCA, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferred.

Purpose of the role
To develop and implement the bank's financial plans and stress testing methodologies by assessing the bank's resilience under various economic scenarios.
Accountabilities
* Develop and implement stress testing methodologies; analyze results to identify vulnerabilities, assess capital adequacy, and inform risk mitigation strategies.
* Manage the bank's financial risks, develop risk management strategies, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
* Analyze the bank's capital position, assess regulatory capital requirements, and develop strategies to optimize capital utilization.
* Manage process cycles for Planning and Stress Testing, including project management of delivery.
* Document regulatory requirements, track processes/data, and report progress via governance structures.
* Manage data quality and data flows from contributors to report submission.
* Manage BAU systems for quick and iterative capital or funding planning, and drive process reengineering initiatives.
* Own the control environment, standards, and conformance, partnering with BIA to meet governance objectives.
* Provide governance support, including regulatory liaison and engagement with boards and external auditors.
