We have an opportunity to join our team as a Production Team Leader.
As Production Team Leader you’ll enjoy being a critical part of the team and work flexibly across a variety of activities with the primary focus of contributing towards the smooth running of the PRL lines.
As a Production Team Leader, you’ll ‘roll your sleeves up and get stuck in’ wherever you’re needed carrying out a variety of different tasks including:
· Ensure daily start up and Health and Safety checks are carried out .
· Oversee day to day production on all rolling lines.
· Ensure production targets are met by communicating job expectations and appraising job results to the team.
· Coach team members to maximise performance levels and expand skill sets.
· Coordinate the teams to optimize production output.
· Ensure that all items assembled on the production line are correct and of the required AluK standard whilst following all quality control checks.
· Working closely with the Production Manager to create reports and updates on production data both in digital and manual format.
· Leading training for the team.
· Observe and monitor fault finding processes to ensure the correct methods are being used.
As a Production Team leader, you’ll be working in a busy and varied role and we’ll make sure you’ll receive all the necessary training to be successful in your role. Experience of working as a Production Team Leader is a bonus but, as a minimum we’re looking for you to demonstrate your:
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of operating production machinery and equipment
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage resources effectively.
Demonstrable experience of leading a small team
Ability to motivate team members to complete their daily tasks and hit targets.
Experience of coaching and developing team members to reach their potential.
Ability to create, monitor (including assimilating data) and manage against KPI and key operational metrics to drive management activity and achieve results.
Computer literate – working knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS Teams, outlook, word, PowerPoint and excel (beginner to intermediate functionality i.e., data input, data manipulation, graphs)
Uses knowledge safety protocols and procedures to champion and enforce a safe working environment.
