Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Support Officer to join our Alternative Learning Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference for children and families navigating alternative education provision. About the role: You will play a key role in ensuring statutory duties are met by arranging suitable education for pupils who, due to exclusion or other circumstances, cannot attend mainstream school. Acting as the main point of contact for families, you will provide guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance including transport arrangements to help them access the resources they need. What We re Looking For: Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively Strong attention to detail and experience in handling sensitive information A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting vulnerable learners This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families, working within a supportive team dedicated to inclusive education.
