We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Stockton looking for a Humanities Teacher who can inspire curiosity and get students thinking about the world around them. If you enjoy lively discussions, engaging lessons, and helping students connect the past with the present, this could be the role for you.
The school is keen to meet someone who can step into the department and make lessons meaningful, engaging, and accessible for all learners.
What you’ll be doing
* Teaching Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4
* Delivering well-structured, engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking
* Supporting students as they develop knowledge of global issues, cultures, and historical events
* Working alongside a supportive department team
What the school is looking for
* UK classroom experience teaching Humanities in a secondary setting
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to bring topics to life
* Confident classroom and behaviour management
Compliance essentials
* DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
* Right to work in the UK
* Two professional references
