Role ResponsibilitiesAudit Leadership & Quality Control
* Develop and implement the firm’s audit strategy and quality assurance standards
* Act as a Responsible Individual (RI), ensuring audits are compliant with ACCA regulations and industry best practices
* Oversee audit engagements across a broad industry spectrum, with a focus on SMEs and owner-managed businesses
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the audit team, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality audit delivery
Strategic Contribution & Board Engagement
* Work closely with the board and senior leadership team to shape the long-term strategy of the audit department
* Provide insights on audit growth, operational efficiency, and service enhancement
* Ensure the audit function aligns with the firm’s broader business objectives and strategic vision
* Act as a champion for the audit team, advocating for investment in people, resources, and infrastructure
Business Development & Client Management
* Strengthen and expand client relationships, ensuring high service levels and long-term retention
* Drive business development initiatives to grow the audit division, identifying new opportunities and cross-selling services
* Represent the firm in networking events, industry forums, and client presentations, showcasing the firm’s expertise in audit
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
* Ensure that all audits are conducted in accordance with ACCA standards and UK audit regulations
* Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging audit trends, advising the firm on best practices
* Uphold and enhance the firm’s reputation for excellence in audit quality and compliance

Candidate Requirements
* Fellow of the ACCA (FCCA) and Registered Auditor (RI) status
* Extensive experience in audit leadership, managing complex engagements
* Strong technical expertise in UK audit regulations and compliance standards
* Proven ability to develop client relationships, drive business growth, and contribute to firm strategy
* A commercially minded approach, with the ability to provide practical, tailored solutions to SMEs and owner-managed businesses
* Experience in ESG reporting and emerging audit trends
