Job Description
Aberdeenshire Council Community Learning and Development (CLD) Service are looking to recruit one 30 hour Community Learning and Development Assistant to contribute to the development and delivery of local learning and development opportunities in line with data driven identified need and national priorities. Successful candidates will practice a person-centred approach, be well organised and confident to engage with communities at all levels.
The post will be based in Fraserburgh working across North Aberdeenshire.
The Community Learning and Development Service (CLD) sits within Aberdeenshire Council’s wider Education and Children’s Service and CLD Standards Council for Scotland is the professional body. CLD is a targeted service and works with individuals and groups offering learning for people who want to make positive changes in their communities and personal lives.

The key duties of a CLD Assistant are to create and deliver adult learning and community development opportunities in line with council priorities. Focussing on literacies, family learning and accreditation you will have a strong commitment to working within communities to address issues of inequality. You will have experience of working within local communities with adults and community organisations using a CLD approach.
