Functional Skills Tutor – Eccles (M30) At TP Tutors, we are seeking enthusiastic and committed tutors in Eccles (M30) to deliver Functional Skills support in Maths and English. This role is focused on helping learners gain the key qualifications they need for employment, further education, or training. Many of the pupils you’ll support may be out of mainstream school, lack confidence in their abilities, or simply require a more tailored approach to learning. You’ll be working face-to-face on a 1:1 basis, either in the learner’s home or in a local community venue such as a library. We are looking for tutors who have experience teaching Functional Skills or GCSE equivalent, with strong knowledge in either English or Maths. A patient and adaptable approach is essential, as well as the ability to motivate learners and build their confidence step by step. You will be responsible for planning engaging sessions, supporting progress, and ensuring each learner feels prepared and supported on their journey. In return, TP Tutors can offer you between £25–£30 per hour depending on experience, flexible hours during the school day, and weekly pay through PAYE with no umbrella deductions.
