GSL Education are seeking a Full-Time Cover Supervisor to work across a range of secondary schools in Chichester, starting from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with experience in youth support to step into a flexible and rewarding school-based role. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will take charge of delivering pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher and play an essential role in maintaining a productive and respectful classroom environment. Flexible work – choose the days that suit your schedule, with up to 5 days per week available. Responsibilities: Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work. Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive, focused learning environment. Support students’ understanding of the lesson material, encouraging engagement and participation. Report any issues or concerns back to the appropriate staff members. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour during cover periods. Be a flexible team player, supporting various departments as needed. Requirements: Prior experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable. Strong behaviour and classroom management skills are essential. Confident communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students. A proactive, adaptable, and resilient approach to supporting students and managing challenges.
