SEN Behaviour Mentor

Primary SEMH Specialist School – Warrington – Up to £600 per week – Full-Time

Are you motivated to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a primary setting?

Do you have the resilience and confidence to manage challenging behaviour with consistency and care?

Maybe you’re passionate about inclusive education and are keen to become a positive role model for children with SEMH needs?

A nurturing Primary SEMH specialist school in Warrington is seeking a committed SEN Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance. As a SEN Behaviour Mentor, you will work with children to regulate emotions, de-escalate challenging behaviour and deliver effective interventions.

The Role – SEN Behaviour Mentor

As a SEN Behaviour Mentor, you will work with pupils across KS1 and KS2, providing 1:1 and small-group support to help them engage with learning and develop positive routines.

A key aspect of this role is managing challenging behaviour through calm, structured approaches, helping pupils regulate their emotions and respond positively in the classroom. You will act as a reliable and positive role model, building strong relationships that support trust and progress.

You will be supporting pupils with needs such as SEMH, ADHD, Autism, and trauma-related behaviours, helping them overcome barriers and achieve both personal and academic growth.

What’s on Offer

1. Up to £600 per week
2. Full-time, long-term SEN Behaviour Mentor role
3. Immediate or September start available
4. Specialist SEMH and behaviour management training
5. Supportive and collaborative staff team

Ideal Candidate – SEN Behaviour Mentor

6. Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, care, coaching)
7. Strong behaviour management skills
8. Resilient, calm, and confident
9. Excellent relationship-building ability
10. Passion for supporting vulnerable learners

This SEN Behaviour Mentor role in Warrington offers a rewarding opportunity to support young learners while gaining valuable SEMH experience. If you are a confident and resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners, this SEN Behaviour Mentor role is ideal for you.
