We’re looking for a confident and adaptable Class Cover Teacher to join a friendly SEN education provision where every day brings something new.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll deliver engaging lessons across different year groups, ensuring every pupil feels supported and inspired to learn. You’ll work closely with classroom assistants and colleagues to create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all learners.
Your role includes:
Teaching pupils in line with national standards and school expectations
Bringing creativity and consistency to each classroom you cover
Setting clear expectations and maintaining positive behaviour
Marking work in line with school policy and celebrating pupil progress
Safeguarding pupils and promoting their wellbeing
Building respectful relationships with students and colleagues alike
Taking part in CPD, team meetings, and wider school life
What we’re looking for
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new settings and routines
Understanding of a range of learning needs, including SEND
Desirable:
Additional SEND qualifications (e.g. PECs, TEACCH)
Experience with individual education plans and assessment tools
Confidence teaching pupils across a wide age and ability range
