About the Role
A warm and active household in New London, NH is seeking a Live-In Family Assistant/Household Assistant to provide comprehensive household support and help maintain a smooth, organized home environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys contributing to a well-run household.
Key Responsibilities
1. Household Management
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living spaces, and garage.
* Manage laundry: wash, iron, fold, and organize wardrobes.
* Oversee and restock household supplies (cleaning products, pantry items, etc.).
* Receive deliveries, open packages, put items away, and dispose of packaging materials.
2. Meal Preparation
* Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation as requested.
* Prepare snacks and beverages for household members or guests.
3. Errands and Shopping
* Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning pick-up, and post office trips.
* Purchase gifts or other household needs when required.
4. Childcare Support
* Provide assistance with childcare when needed.
* Assist with school drop-offs/pick-ups or activity coordination for children.
5. Administrative Support
* Organize household schedules and calendars, including appointments and events.
* Handle mail, packages, deliveries, and basic correspondence.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Household Assistant, Housekeeper, Family Assistant, or in a similar role.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Intermediate cooking skills and knowledge of food safety.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
* Physical stamina and ability to handle light lifting and cleaning tasks.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
* CPR and First Aid certification (especially if childcare responsibilities are included).
* Experience managing high-end household settings.
* Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning practices and products.
