Our client has offices across the UK, Spain, Netherlands, China, and Australia. The business boasts a sales turnover of approximately £200 million and employs 120 professionals worldwide. They specialise in sourcing and supplying a broad range of products used across various industries. If you have any experience in the Construction or Building Industry this would be advantageous.
Role Overview
This role offers a comprehensive training programme designed to provide exposure to all areas of the business. You will initially learn about the company's systems and procedures, such as contract management, before progressing to manage client relationships from start to finish. The position entails direct involvement in quoting, negotiating, and developing new business opportunities within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Trading administration: raising contracts with suppliers and customers
* Quoting clients considering market factors like commodity prices and exchange rates
* Collaborating closely with internal departments including logistics, shipping, and accounts to ensure seamless operations
* Following up on quotations and business leads, pushing for new customer engagement and project closure
Progression Opportunities
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to meet clients face-to-face, with the aim to cultivate their own customer portfolio within the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia. Building strong client relationships and expanding product lines will be encouraged, enabling career growth into more autonomous sales roles as a Business Development Product Manager.
