Emergency Response Security Officer - Rolls-Royce - Derby
Mitie Security Ltd are recruiting Emergency Response Security Officers to work at our site based in Derby on the Rolls-Royce contract. This is a dual role of both emergency response & security duties. It is essential that applicants are are able to cover 12 hour shifts days and nights.
Hourly rate: £12.63 PH
Contracted Hours: 56 per week
Main duties
1. Respond to automatic fire alarms
2. Security incidents and medical response
3. Provide emergency medical care until the arrival of external emergency services
4. Carry out maintenance and testing of Fire Extinguishers where trained
5. Carry out weekly checks on Automatic Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Detection Systems, Panic Alarms, Refuge Alarms and Lift Alarms and record on appropriate report form.
6. Carry out weekly sprinkler set and Sprinkler pump testing and record on insurance sprinkler test cards.
7. Carry out monthly checks on site Interceptors, Fire Doors, Evacuation call points and record on appropriate report form.
8. Carry out annual tests of fire hydrants and record on appropriate report form.
9. Carry out daily vehicle checks ensuring that all equipment serviceable and is in good condition, report if any defects are found.
10. Ensure that all equipment carried on emergency Vehicles is checked using vehicle inventory.
11. Monitor the standards of compliance and behaviours by Security Personnel against protocols, identifying performance standards, both good and bad.
