Care & Support Assistant - Bank Team
Location: Fern Brook Lodge Care Home, Shaftesbury Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QD
Pay rate: £13.80 per hour
Hours: Bank (flexible shifts to suit your availability, with no guaranteed hours)
Shift Patterns:
* Days: 08:00 – 20:00
* Nights: 20:00 – 08:00

What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a care setting, including care planning and medication administration.
* Strong communication skills and leadership potential.
* A genuine passion for supporting others and promoting independence.
* Hold, or be happy to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
* Passion for delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day supervision and support to Care Assistants.
* Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs and preferences.
* Promote independence and dignity in all aspects of care.
* Act as a point of escalation for concerns or incidents.
* Foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
