Salary: £28,598 - 28,598 per year Requirements: We are looking for a skilled, proactive and customer-focused Senior IT Technician with strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills. We require the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, suppliers and external providers. We need someone who is well organised, able to prioritise workload, and committed to delivering a high-quality IT service. We require an NVQ Level 3 or 4, an equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in an IT support environment. We require a good standard of literacy and numeracy, including GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent. Previous experience working in a school would be an advantage, though IT knowledge and attitude are more important. A current valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are desirable. We are looking for someone who is technically capable, approachable, flexible and enthusiastic about using ICT to support teaching, learning and school operations. Responsibilities: We will expect you to provide first and second-line IT support to curriculum and administrative users. We will expect you to work closely with the Network Manager to help maintain and develop our school and Trust IT networks, systems, hardware and software. We will expect you to support classroom IT and assist with the school website and online services. We will expect you to act in a technical capacity on behalf of the Network Manager when required. We will expect you to monitor networks and support user account administration. We will expect you to carry out hardware and software maintenance. We will expect you to support servers, backups, antivirus and security systems. We will expect you to contribute to new IT projects. We will expect you to provide occasional onsite support to local schools. We will expect you to assist with audio-visual support for school events.
