Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Shift Pattern: 05:45 – 18:00 / 17:45 – 06:00 (2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off)
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a busy, high-performing maintenance department. This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical and electrical skills who are passionate about problem-solving and delivering high standards of maintenance and engineering support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out rapid fault-finding and analysis of mechanical and electrical breakdowns
* Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs on a variety of equipment, including vacuums, pumps, CNC machinery, rotating equipment, and electrical systems
* Electrical fault-finding and installation tasks
* Ensuring all corrective actions are completed and recorded using the Computerised Maintenance Management (CMM) system
* Maintaining a high attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills
What We Are Looking For:
Essential:
* Recognised, certificated Mechanical/Electrical Apprenticeship
* Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
* Proven experience in industrial maintenance, including fault-finding on control panels
* Knowledge of induction heating processes and vacuum equipment is highly desirable
Desirable:
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Ability to adapt to changing demands and new challenges
* Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
* Calm under pressure with a practical, hands-on approach
* Strong team player
