Your new company You will be working for a local construction business in Portsmouth who are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to their small team. Your new role Working with spreadsheets, Assisting with sales/purchase ledgers and journals Manage VAT payments are carried out within deadlines. Pay out money via BACS Check and reconcile supplier statements Uploading invoices to accounting system for payments Chase customer payments Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits Reconcile bank in QuickBooks as well as an awareness of monthly cashflow and P & L statements Submit quarterly VAT returns Ensure timely payments of PAYE, NI and corporation tax Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct Managing petty cash transactions Controlling credit/cashflow and chasing debt Process staff expenses Supporting wider accounts team with any other accounting tasks necessary What you'll need to succeed Full right-to-work in the UK, alongside prior experience working within a UK finance team.
