Salary: £24,310.04 – £27,751.55 (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

We are looking for a qualified or unqualified IDVA (training may be provided for the right candidate). Experience supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse, managing a caseload, and understanding safeguarding for children and adults is required. The post holder must have a good understanding of domestic abuse dynamics and their impact on victims.
Role
Independent Domestic Violence Advisors provide high‑quality frontline support to those at high risk of harm. As an IDVA you will assess risk, inform victims of their options, and develop tailored safety plans for victims and their children. You will work within a multi‑agency framework, advocate for the victim, and report to Multi‑agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) on their behalf.
The role also supports the empowerment of victims/survivors, helping them recognize abuse dynamics through one‑to‑one support and group work, enabling them to regain control of their lives.
Requirements & Checks
 * Right to Work in the UK – original documentation required on interview.
 * References – two employment references required. If no employer reference, acceptable references include a professional from your centre of study, GP or health visitor, a character reference, a civil servant or a bank manager.
 * DBS checks at the relevant level.
 * Experience managing a caseload of domestic abuse survivors.
 * Understanding of safeguarding principles for children and adults.
 * Occupational requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 – the post holder must be female.
