Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: As soon as possible; February 2026/March 2026
Salary: £23124 – £27258 per annum*
GSL Education is looking for a full-time Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in York. This is an excellent opportunity to work with primary-aged pupils, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide high-level classroom support, including small group and 1:1 interventions.
* Work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated learning in English, Maths, and other subjects.
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, and Speech & Language difficulties.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
* Assist with assessment, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress.
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting a calm and safe learning environment.
As the Ideal Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Have experience working with primary-aged pupils, preferably with additional or special needs.
* Be skilled in supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, or Speech & Language difficulties.
* Be confident delivering structured interventions and supporting targeted learning programmes.
* Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Be patient, adaptable, and child focused.
* Hold, or is willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS.
