PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We’re seeking an experienced Digital Producer to optimise our BBC Children’s programme content for greater utilisation on our portfolio of YouTube channels. This is a contract role, ideal for someone with a strong digital content production experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience of working across multiple projects in a fast-paced digital environment.
WHY JOIN THE TEAM
You’ll be responsible for creating a new pipeline of YouTube content working with our independent production company partners, BBC Children’s commissioners and YouTube channel management team. This role requires a confident producer who can influence production approach, manage multiple complex stakeholder relationships, and support other teams to deliver high value digital content for audiences. This will include sharing relevant audience and platform insight, evaluating content and providing feedback and digital production skills and knowledge, including some hands-on support during all parts of the production process.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* Identify audience led opportunities in BBC Children\'s portfolio for greater utilisation on YouTube with a clear understanding of platform strategy, audience behaviour, and performance metrics
* Work with our independent production partners to ensure formats within TV shows are optimised for YouTube.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. commissioning, legal, marketing) and external partners (e.g. independent production companies).
* Monitor industry trends and platform developments to inform and influence wider teams and partners programme content strategy
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Digital production experience required, specifically creating content for YouTube
* Strong understanding of production management and compliance in a digital context.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments and with external partners.
* Able to drive teams to develop creative ideas which engage diverse audiences in a demanding creative environment
* Familiarity with digital platform-specific requirements, and audience engagement strategies.
* Understanding of youth audiences, to include digital content consumption and their preferred brands.
