Head of Management Accounts & Financial Control
Role Overview
A senior finance leadership role responsible for overseeing management accounting, financial control, and key operational finance activities within a regulated financial services environment. The position leads the end-to-end management accounting cycle, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial governance, and effective balance sheet control, while driving continuous improvement across finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the monthly management accounting process, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
* Deliver timely and insightful management information to senior stakeholders
* Maintain robust financial controls, ledger integrity, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and cashflow reporting
* Support audit processes and ensure compliance within a regulated framework
* Lead and develop a finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
* Partner with senior leaders to provide commercially focused financial insight
Candidate Profile
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong experience in management accounts and financial control within a regulated financial services environment
* Proven leadership capability with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
* Confident stakeholder manager with strong analytical and communication skills
